To protect the substantial volume of personal health information they handle, Pine Park Health sought out Uplift's expertise.
Client Goal
When Pine Park Health first reached out to our team at Uplift, their primary goal was to streamline and optimize operations through the implementation of task automation. However, as the project progressed, it naturally expanded to encompass three pivotal objectives aimed at enhancing their overall efficiency and effectiveness.
1. Task automation
Recognizing the importance of efficient service delivery for its diverse range of patients and staff, Pine Park Health required the right tools to streamline its processes. Uplift was responsible for developing a system that could process the continuous flow of patient data, identifying follow-up items, prescription changes, and lab orders.
2. HIPAA compliance
Understanding the significance of safeguarding personal health information, Pine Park Health sought to develop a data storage system that would fully comply with HIPAA regulations.
3. Analytics dashboard
To gain greater visibility into the overall health status of the population under their care, Pine Park Health expressed a need for an intuitive analytics dashboard. This dashboard would serve as a "single-pane-of-glass," allowing providers to quickly assess which sections of the population required additional health screenings, vaccinations, or specialist consultations.
The task at hand
Pine Park Health faced several challenges, including time-consuming processes such as compiling and sending email updates, lack of efficiency in data accessibility and organization, the need for accessible and comprehensive data, and the transition towards becoming more digitally organized. To address these challenges, we envisioned a solution by creating an integrated dashboard that streamlined workflows, improved efficiency, and established a foundation for future growth.
Solution
The project aimed to develop a comprehensive solution for Pine Park Health's operations. We started by building an integrated dashboard that allowed nurses and doctors to access multiple servers from a single site, which improved efficiency. Since Pine Park had no pre-existing legacy system, they were facing challenges with vender IPIs that needed additional work. The currently used Looker dashboard system presented an exciting challenge for our engineering team, as it was unfamiliar territory.
Through a "learning by doing" approach, we familiarized ourselves with the Looker dashboard system and successfully developed an analytics dashboard for real-time insights, enabling informed decision-making for patient well-being. Throughout the project, the Uplift team made significant progress in its collaboration with Pine Park Health, reaching important milestones.
1. Facilitating task automation
By creating a comprehensive task list for providers and support staff, the automation system ensured that critical actions were properly addressed. Additionally, facilitated administrators and staff with valuable insights and actionable items.

2. Ensuring HIPAA compliance
We designed and implemented policies that adhere to the strict requirements outlined by HIPAA. By ensuring compliance, Pine Park Health could confidently handle sensitive patient information while maintaining the highest standards of privacy and security.

3. Establishing a functional marketing site
Recognizing the importance of effective communication and attracting prospective partners, the Uplift engineering team utilized HINT Design to build a brand new marketing site for Pine Park Health. From the ground up, the site was carefully crafted to highlight Pine Park's comprehensive service offerings and provide essential information to potential partners.

Outcome
The collaboration between Uplift and Pine Park Health has yielded significant results, inspiring the exploration of new avenues for enhanced operational efficiency and patient care.
Looking forward, Pine Park Health is actively working on developing a dedicated app that will streamline operations and optimize workflows. our engineering team is currently helping out building an innovative "overlay" system that consolidates and presents medical confidence information to doctors, catering primarily to staff members and nurses. This system utilizes predictive technology to anticipate patient needs based on medical history and handles billing information.
